Terms of Service
Effective September 20, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Low Volt Vault, a Holt Holdings LLC project. By creating an account, using account features, downloading a resource, submitting content, or purchasing a membership, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
Purpose of the service
Low Volt Vault provides educational and technical-reference materials for low-voltage professionals and related audiences. Resources may include original guides, troubleshooting references, checklists, field notes, and links to official manufacturer documentation.
Low Volt Vault is not a substitute for current manufacturer instructions, engineered drawings, contract documents, applicable codes, site-specific requirements, licensed professional judgment, or direction from the authority having jurisdiction. You are responsible for confirming model, firmware, software, wiring, electrical, life-safety, licensing, and code requirements before acting.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use Low Volt Vault for an employer or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so. You are responsible for the activity associated with your account, maintaining access to your sign-in provider, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized use.
Do not impersonate another person, share an account to avoid membership limits, attempt to obtain another user's data, or use the service in a way that interferes with its security or operation. Account permissions, including administrator access, are determined by verified server-side identity and role records.
Free and Pro membership
Free members may access the resources and account features identified as Free. Pro members may access published Pro resources and other features identified as included with Pro while their account has an active paid entitlement. Draft, archived, internal-review, and administrator materials are not customer benefits and are not made public by a subscription.
Founding Pro is offered at $9 per month or $79 per year when those prices are displayed in the live Stripe Checkout flow. Pricing may change for future purchases or renewals, but the price and billing interval shown by Stripe before you confirm purchase control that transaction.
Recurring billing and charges
Pro is a recurring subscription. When you confirm purchase in Stripe Checkout, you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the selected monthly or annual term, and again at the start of each renewal period until the subscription is canceled or otherwise ends. Taxes, if applicable and configured, are shown through Stripe. Low Volt Vault does not offer a free trial unless one is expressly shown during checkout.
Subscription access is activated from verified Stripe events, not merely from a browser returning from checkout. If activation is delayed, the account page may temporarily show that access is being confirmed.
Cancellation and expiration
You may manage or cancel a subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal linked from your account page. When cancellation is scheduled for the end of the billing period, Pro access continues through the paid-through date shown in the account or portal and then returns to Free. Canceling does not ordinarily undo charges already incurred.
Failed, disputed, reversed, incomplete, expired, unpaid, paused, or ended subscriptions may lose Pro access according to the subscription status reported by Stripe. We may correct entitlement errors when billing and application records are temporarily out of sync.
Refunds and billing corrections
We do not promise automatic refunds. Submit billing-error or refund requests through the feedback form for individual review. Any refund is subject to the circumstances, the Stripe transaction record, these Terms, and rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Guide downloads and permitted use
Low Volt Vault and its licensors retain ownership of original guides, branding, website content, and related intellectual property. Subject to these Terms, Low Volt Vault grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use legitimately accessed guides for your own personal or internal business reference.
You may keep a guide that you lawfully downloaded while entitled to access it, but cancellation ends access to new Pro downloads, future revisions, and other Pro services after the paid-through date. You may not resell, sublicense, publicly post, mirror, mass-distribute, remove ownership notices from, or use Low Volt Vault content to create a competing content library. You may share a link to a public resource page instead of sharing the protected file.
Manufacturer documentation and third-party services
Official manufacturer documents are identified separately from Low Volt Vault guides and normally open on the manufacturer's website. Linking to a document does not mean Low Volt Vault owns, endorses, controls, or has permission to redistribute it. Manufacturer terms, licenses, warranties, and documentation remain controlling for their products.
Feedback and contributions
You retain ownership of field notes, photographs, feedback, and other original material you submit. You grant Holt Holdings LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, review, reproduce, edit, adapt, and use that material to operate and improve Low Volt Vault and, if the submission is approved, to incorporate or publish it in Low Volt Vault resources. This license includes the right to format, excerpt, and combine a contribution with editorial material, but does not require us to publish it.
You represent that you have the right to submit the material and that it does not contain customer data, confidential employer or project information, credentials, unlawful content, or third-party material you lack permission to share. We may request changes, reject, remove, or preserve a submission as reasonably necessary. Approval of a field note does not automatically publish it.
Acceptable use
You may not bypass access controls; probe or disrupt the service; scrape or automate bulk extraction; share signed download links; upload malware; submit false, unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; misuse feedback or request systems; or use Low Volt Vault in violation of law. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access to protect the service, users, providers, or legal rights.
Accuracy, safety, and warranties
Technical information can become outdated and may not apply to every model, firmware version, jurisdiction, or site condition. Stop work and consult the appropriate manufacturer, project engineer, authority having jurisdiction, licensed electrician, fire-alarm professional, elevator contractor, system administrator, or other qualified party when the work is outside your authorization or competence.
To the extent permitted by law, Low Volt Vault is provided on an "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free content, fitness for a particular purpose, or guaranteed results. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Service and term changes
We may add, revise, replace, or remove resources and features, and may change future pricing or these Terms. Changes do not automatically publish draft content. Updated Terms apply from the posted effective date; material subscription changes will be disclosed as required before they take effect.
Contact and support
Use the feedback form for account, billing, technical-content, or legal questions. Include enough information to locate the issue, but do not submit passwords, payment-card numbers, customer credentials, or unnecessary confidential information.
