Privacy Policy
Effective September 20, 2026
Low Volt Vault is a Holt Holdings LLC project. This policy explains how Low Volt Vault ("we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you visit the website, create an account, use account features, submit content, or purchase a membership.
Information we collect
Account and authentication information
When you sign in with Google, Google and Supabase Auth provide information needed to authenticate you. If verified email-and-password sign-in is available, Supabase Auth also processes your email address, encrypted password credentials, confirmation status, and password-recovery requests. Depending on the sign-in method and permissions, account information may include your email address, display name, profile image, provider identifier, and authentication metadata. We create a Low Volt Vault profile linked to the verified Supabase user ID and store profile details such as display name, account role, membership tier, and account timestamps.
Membership and billing information
Stripe processes subscription payments, payment methods, invoices, and billing-management requests. Low Volt Vault does not store complete payment-card numbers. We store billing records needed to provide membership access, such as Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, selected plan, subscription status, billing-period dates, cancellation status, and membership entitlement.
Use of the service
When you use account features, we may store favorites, recently viewed resources, saved manufacturer documents, private personal notes, feedback history, guide requests and support votes, field-note submissions, and the status of those submissions. A private note is available only to the account that created it and authorized service administrators.
Feedback, field notes, and uploaded files
Feedback and guide requests may include the text and technical details you submit, the related resource or page, submission status, and your account identifier. Field-note submissions may include titles, manufacturer and system details, problem descriptions, diagnoses, tested fixes, hardware details, notes, reviewer communications, and optional JPG, PNG, or WebP images. Do not submit credentials, customer personal information, confidential employer material, or content you do not have permission to share.
Traffic, device, and attribution information
Vercel hosts and delivers the application. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate website traffic, page use, and performance. Vercel and other infrastructure providers may process network, device, browser, request, performance, and security information needed to deliver, measure, and protect the service. We also record limited first-touch and latest-touch campaign information, such as UTM source, medium, campaign, content, term, landing path, and referring page. Low Volt Vault is designed not to place names, email addresses, authentication tokens, Stripe identifiers, private submission text, sensitive query parameters, or signed PDF URLs in application analytics events.
We maintain limited first-party product activity records to understand whether the library is useful and whether account and billing flows work. These records can include a random browser-session identifier or account identifier, the type and time of an action, a public resource slug and category, Free or Pro classification, a short library search term and result count, selected monthly or annual plan, and submission type. Server-confirmed subscription activations and authorized downloads are recorded from the application rather than inferred from a page redirect. We do not place passwords, authentication tokens, payment credentials, Stripe identifiers, signed download URLs, private notes, feedback text, or uploaded content in these product events.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies or comparable browser storage for Supabase authentication sessions, security, rate limiting, first-party product measurement, and first- and latest-touch attribution. The product-measurement cookie contains a random identifier and lasts for the browser session. The attribution cookie uses a different random identifier and may remain for up to one year so an eventual signup or subscription can be connected to the original campaign. Short-lived cookies may prevent rapid duplicate feedback or waitlist submissions. Stripe, Google, Supabase, and Vercel may use their own technologies when providing their services.
Google Analytics 4 is optional and loads only after you choose to allow analytics. When allowed, it receives public page paths and limited product events such as resource views, searches, pricing views, checkout starts, and confirmed subscription events. We configure the application not to send names, email addresses, Stripe identifiers, authentication tokens, private PDF links, private notes, or submission text to Google Analytics. You can decline optional analytics without affecting account, download, or billing functionality, and you can revisit your choice through “Analytics settings” in the site footer.

Service providers and disclosure
We disclose information to service providers only as needed for their role in operating Low Volt Vault. Current core providers include Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage; Stripe for checkout, subscriptions, invoices, and the Customer Portal; Vercel for hosting and delivery; Google for OAuth sign-in; and GitHub for source-code hosting and deployment integration. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy notices.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate abuse or security incidents, protect rights or safety, or support a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of the service. We do not disclose private field notes, personal notes, or account data merely because another customer asks for them.
Data retention and deletion requests
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain account and subscription history, review contributions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Different records may be retained for different periods. We do not promise a fixed deletion schedule.
To request access, correction, or deletion of account information, send a privacy request through the feedback form. We may need to verify the requester before acting. Some information may be retained where required by law, necessary for security or fraud prevention, contained in backups awaiting normal replacement, or needed to document transactions and resolve disputes. Closing an account does not automatically remove material that was lawfully incorporated into a published Low Volt Vault resource; contact us if a contribution raises a specific concern.
Security
We use measures intended to protect personal information, including provider-managed authentication, server-side authorization, row-level database policies, private storage for protected files, and short-lived signed download links. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and privacy rights
You may sign out, manage your Stripe subscription through the Customer Portal when billing is available, edit certain pending contributions, and request access, correction, or deletion through the feedback form. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law. We will review verified requests and respond as required by applicable law.
External links
Low Volt Vault may organize links to official manufacturer websites and documentation. Those external services are not controlled by Low Volt Vault, and their privacy practices apply when you leave this website.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when changes are posted. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or account experience where appropriate.
